Memorial Day
Memorial Day Commemoration Parade & Ceremony
Parade
The Memorial Day Parade starts at 9:30 am.
Bring chairs or blankets to watch the parade.
Coffee and doughnuts will be served before the parade.
Ceremony
A ceremony at the Oakwood Cemetery Columbarium (located at the corner of Kaler and Oakwood) will take place immediately following the parade.
WWII Killed in Action (K.I.A.) names will be read & Mayor Reser will lay a wreath on the Veteran’s monument.
A box lunch served after the ceremony will be available. Lunches for the Veterans and Active Duty are generously sponsored by Katering Kountry Style.
Lunch vouchers for Veterans and Active Duty can be picked up at the American Legion, AmVets, or VFW.
All non-veterans may purchase lunches.
Veterans Cemetery Walk
There will be a Veterans Cemetery Walk from 12 – 3 pm.
- All are welcome. Transportation will be available if needed.
- There will be free carnations available to lay on graves.
